Initial Situation: Growth Required Digital Transformation

Farmet, a manufacturer of agricultural machinery with a global reach, faced the typical challenges of a growing global company.
With an increasing number of dealers and customers across 19 countries, it became essential to resolve inefficiencies in administration, manual ordering processes, and the complex configurations of machines that required lengthy individual solutions.
The client's vision was to create a partner zone with a custom e-commerce platform and ERP system integration capable of managing a catalog of over 180,000 stock items and enabling true global scaling.

The result of our long-term collaboration is a digital platform that meets these requirements. Among other things, it serves over 360 sales representatives and 3,500 customers worldwide, dramatically reducing administrative costs and allowing Farmet to grow without increasing back-office capacity.

Gradual Building of a Digital Ecosystem

Phase 1: Corporate Website as a Foundation
We started with a comprehensive custom website focused on the product presentation of agricultural machinery. The site included advanced functionalities for the B2B segment, such as variations of working widths, optional equipment, a map of dealer locations, and 17 language versions for the global market.

Phase 2: Spare Parts E-shop with ERP Integration
We added a custom e-shop for over 80,000 components with direct integration into the ERP system Altec. This solution automated previously manual processes for ordering spare parts and provided dealers and end customers with 24/7 access to a comprehensive catalog.

Phase 3: Partner Zone "MyFarmet"
A key innovation was the creation of the B2B platform "MyFarmet," a sophisticated partner zone originally for internal employees and salespeople. It gradually expanded to include dealers and during the COVID-19 pandemic, also end customers.

Phase 4: Configurator with Advanced Logic
The culmination is a configurator for agricultural machinery with an advanced compatibility matrix and an automated ordering process integrated into the ERP Altec and JIRA systems.
